Onslow Grading & Paving is a full service grading and paving contractor serving the Onslow County area since 1989.
A Brief History
Atlas Brown started Onslow Grading & Paving in 1988 after sitting and looking at a repossessed paver he was storing for the equipment company. He called Arrow Equipment and worked out a deal to purchase the paver and Onslow Grading & Paving was born. He was joined by his son, Jeff, in 1989 and the company was incorporated in 1990. The early years consisted of mostly patching and small parking lots.
OG&P has since grown into one of the premier grading and paving companies in Eastern NC. OG&P now performs projects ranging from a few thousand dollars to over 5 million — ranging from small patches, to subdivisions, parking lots, highways, and runways. We employ approximately 80 people mostly from the Onslow County area.
The Company
Onslow Grading & Paving is a family-owned company with three generations represented. Chances are, if you call our office you’ll be talking to a member of the family. This allows for a unique, close-knit work environment and a greater pride in maintaining our reputation as the leading grading and paving contractor in our market.
We go the extra mile to ensure you receive courteous and expedient service as well as a quality product.
We now utilize some of the most modern technology available to the paving industry as we strive to deliver the highest quality pavement possible. We installed a 300 Ton Gencor Ultradrum Advanced RAP entry Asphalt Plant in 2006 allowing us to produce more asphalt while still maintaining the tightest tolerances in our mixes.
We have a fully equipped lab at our plant and NCDOT certified Roadway Technicians on all of our paving crews. We also have the latest in Topcon GPS equipment capable of operating our pavers as well as miscellaneous grading equipment. This allows us to place asphalt to extreme tolerances required on airfield paving projects.
